It seems like this year, different organizations and companies are stepping up their Veteran’s Day recognition with special offers and freebies. Hats off to them. Since there’s such a big list, and I’m currently in the middle of the commercial break (!!!) here’s part 1 of where veterans can get some sweet deals, recognizing their service.
1. Krispy Kreme: Veterans and active military members get any donut, free.
2. Outback Steakhouse: Veterans and active military get a free Bloomin’ Onion and a drink.
3. Applebee’s: Veterans and active military get a free entree.
4. Golden Corral (this one is good ALL WEEK) veterans and active duty military get free buffet meals between 5pm-9pm.
With all of these, make sure to call ahead first to confirm. Unless noted, these deals are just for Veteran’s Day, tomorrow, November 11th. Enjoy!

Tis the season to start looking for toys to give as gifts, and this deal I came across from Target is *amazing*.

What a festive potato...just perfect for Christmas.
Buy a Mr. Potato Head doll/figurine/character (I’m not sure what they’re categorized as…) at Target for Just $5.99 and use this coupon: http://print.coupons.com/couponweb/Offers.aspx?pid=14997&zid=iq55&nid=10&bid=alk1109071147dce7194fd15417 and get $5 off.
That means the Mr. Potato Head is just 99-cents! (You’ll have to scroll through the coupons and find the Mr. Potato Head one.
PS: Remember, even if the picture on the coupon isn’t the same as the one you’re looking to buy, look at the first set of barcode numbers. If those are the same, you should be able to use the coupon.
Thanks to http://www.stretchingabuckblog.com/ for the tip and as always to all our local ”Couponers” who keep me updated with deals!

Even if you hate being on mailing lists–I really suggest making a separate email account just for them, since companies give away a lot of freebies and heads-up on special promotions through email.
Click here: http://www.kohls.com/upgrade/registration/sale_alert_signup.jsp to sign up for the Kohl’s email list. They’ll not only send you discount coupons, but also a $5 off coupon for a $5 or more purchase.
Enjoy!
