Take Comfort In The Sticky Bun

Macaroni and cheese.

Chocolate Éclairs.

Chicken noodle soup.

Lately, comfort food is where it’s at.  The New York Times, local papers, the Food Network…all of them, talking about the resurgence of comfort classics in time of recession.

Think about it, movies where ladies drown their sorrows in Ben and Jerry’s. (You see, celery isn’t a comfort food, because of it’s lack of fat and calories.)

Restaurants are offering meal deals everywhere.  Just this week we told viewers about Starbucks and their new coffee and breakfast combos. Subway’s annoying “5-dollar foot long” jingle worked- Quizno’s and Mr. Goodcents now have some form of the 5-dollar sub sandwich.

Ok, now to the deals.

As for me, in the past 3-days I’ve eaten about 6 of those frozen bake-at-home cinnamon/sticky buns.  With all the work I had to get done this week, these were justified sticky buns. (Makes up for the dropped pie.)

Happy Valentine’s Day and Happy Friday!
