The organization, Feeding America has teamed up with The Cheesecake Factory to collect 100-thousand cans of soup for foodbanks across the country.

This is a beautiful sight. Maybe not for my arteries...but let's not think about that right now.
Tomorrow, 9/11, the Overland Park location is collecting cans for Harvesters from 7-10am. Donate 2 cans, get a free slice of their new Red Velvet Cheesecake! Doing good and getting something delicious in return. Enjoy!
PS: One of our producers, Troy showed me his deals he found at the Simple.com website:

Troy is the one who showed me the site http://www.woot.com -- a site that sells ONE item at a time for a deep, deep discount. More on WOOT later...
The sandals and laptop sleeve are originally about $90 combined, but he found these two items in the sale section of www.simple.com and scored them for about $12…and free shipping! Way to go T!
Thanks for the heads-up on the free cheesecake. I was surprised that it was not packed when I went. In a way, it was kind of sad! The group of people there were really fun to be around. We got our picture taken, interviewed on camera, etc. There was an artist there performing. She was also autographing her CDs that she was “Selling” for a donation to Harvesters. What a great organization and cause!
