Who knew it’s National Cookie Month?  (Oh, how I love these kinds of holidays.  Like Brenda Washington reporting on national Cream Filled Doughnut Day the other week…ha ha ha)

Our 7am producer, Troy makes the *best* chocolate chip cookies. Apparently the secret is not only to use real butter, but double the vanilla.

I know, I know, the thought of instant coffee to some people is revolting.  However,  Starbucks is banking on their new instant coffee called “VIA”.

I haven't tried VIA (not really a coffee drinking anyway) but I have to admit...a pair of network anchors tried it on the set one morning, and one spit the product out!

Coupons for FREE Burger King Fries! (8 Of Them!) September 29, 2009

It’s that time of year again when Burger King (and other fast food restaurants) roll out their coupon booklets.  From what I understand, $1 will buy you a coupon booklet with 8 coupons for FREE Value Sized fries!

While I've never gotten fries dropped into my pumpkin-shaped-bucket while trick-or-treating, I have gotten a dollar bill once...and lots of raisins.

As always– call ahead to make sure your location has these booklets.  They sometimes go fast, or some locations don’t offer them.
